massive distraction

Fri Dec 15, 2006, 11:31 PM
hey... i know its probably a little late coming... :) but thx. I appreciate your sentiments.

Yeah, I think that really, there is not such thing as good or bad, right or wrong, evil or not, honourable or not... but rather all of those are simply a matter of opinion. Be it a personal opinion that was shaped by experiences, peers, society, parents. Its a mindset. there is no good nor evil, but thinking makes it so.
What one person calls a crime or a sin, another justifies their actions. This is how laws for thought up, formed and implemented and made common place, and how social norms are developed. It all starts with a thought, snowballs, then the majority makes it a social norm, or the ruling classes and powers push usually their initiative forward thus creating laws and rules.

yep, life. a game alright. and what another trite cliché...? its not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. or all the worlds a stage, and men and women are merely actors. again, another common sense social norm phrase so often used. Yes, we all have are various roles to play within our families, jobs societies, we wear our masks and shuffle about. Succumbing to socioeconomic standards and trends. And yet, we are deluded to think that there is such a thing as free will, freedom of thought, and a bunch of other linguistically terms claiming "freedom". all an illusion. people after all, are easier to control when they are homogenized. Keep the masses happy and distracted, with little conflict as possible while those on top play by the rules they set and have the most "fun" within the game.
